How To Make A Kite

Equipment
Crayons
Scissors
A sled kite template from the internet
Straws
A plastic bag
Holepunch
Sellotape
String
Paper clip

Method:

1.  Cut out the template with your scissors.
2.  Colour in the template however you want to, with crayon on the blank side.
3.  Turn over the template and Sellotape the straws to the lines (fold the sides over to make it easier to Sellotape the straws on).
4.  Sellotape on the black dots three times to make the paper stronger.
5.  Use the holepunch and holepunch the black circle.
6.  Thread a piece of string through one hole you punched with the holepunch and tie a knot in one end so it is attached.
7.  Tie one end of each piece of string onto the paper clip.
8.  Tie the long piece of string onto the end of the paper clip.
9.  Cut off the handles on the plastic bag.
10. Lie the plastic bag flat and cut it into loops, do about 4 times.
11. Stick one loop onto the end of the kite, using Sellotape.
12. Take the kite outside and test it out.
13. Come back inside and attach another loop.
14. Go outside and test the kite again.
15. Go back inside and put one more loop on to the kite.
