Gentleness

Gentleness is a breeze, cooling me on a hot,
Summers day.
Gentleness is petals, soft against my skin,
Drifting their scent to my nose.
Gentleness is teddy bears, comforting me on a cold stormy night.
Gentleness is fragile easily broken.
But gentleness is strong when, everybody shows it.

The Square kite

The square kites arms outstretched
Flew high above over the valleys
It flipped and turned round and round
And pranced on the breeze.
If,when I put my arms outstretched
A wind would lift me high,
I'd twirl and whirl in a circle
And race the hawks that flypaper

Charlotte's Learning Conversation

On Tuesday night Mum and I went to my learning conversation with Mrs Deeley. I shared my reading, writing and maths goals. I read Mum two of my stories from my writing book.
I felt confident. Next we played loopy. Mum won but then we had to go home to Ryan.

Charlotte's Holiday

In my holidays me and my family went to the Mount.  Mum and Dad bought me a new bike.  We did lots of riding and me and Mum went to Tauranga and did the Estuary ride on the track and boardwalks.  If you rode over the edge you would end up in the Mangroves - yuck!!

Kerryn and her Mum came and stayed a night.  We went down to the harbour and went fishing on the wharf.  We could feel the fish tugging and nibbling our bait.  Rachel caught a tiny fish and Kerryn threw it back in the water.

We walked up and around the Mount a few times, it was really windy and the sand poked us in the legs.

On Friday nights we went to the Food Market for dinner, we saw Bella and her family there and had yummy potato spirals on a stick and had pizza.

When I swam in the water I got bitten, Dad said it was the Mount Mauler.
